Forbes Flatlands Hang Gliding Championships, Forbes Airport, Bedgerabong Road.
Look to the skies over Forbes as over 100 pilots take to the air for 10 days in this Hang Gliding Federation of Australia competition. Pilots will compete in four categories; Open Class (for top pilots on the international circuit), A Class (for pilots that have never been in the top 100 World Ranking, Sport Class (Open to Kingposted gliders with a shortend task) and Club Class (for beginner and intermediate pilots)

Get in the Australia Day spirit around Lake Forbes with all the fun of the CWA Damper Competition. Entry is open in three categories; members of CWA (all branches), Open (general public) and Juniors (up to 16yrs). The challenge will also be on between the Forbes CWA and Forbes & District Lions Club for the Perpetual Trophy for the best dampers. Register on the day and entry is free. Entries close 5pm. Judging commences 6pm.

Featuring a full day of entertainment including community breakfast, open air Ecumenical Church service, float parade, kids games, damper competition, the great Forbes Bridge to Bridge regatta, official ceremony and live music.

First race around 1pm featuring the $5,000 Bedgerebong Cup. On Course Tote and Skychannel. Fashions on the Field. Free Kids Entertainment. Live Band. Foot races. Food stalls and bar in operation until 10pm. Shuttle buses from Forbes Town Hall.
